There is a place Beaver in the world. Seems, that it could be at the end of the world, but I hope that it is not so bad. In any case, we arrived here one hour ago. Still at this moment it seems that the famous Yukon plains, where many gold diggers have died, are not so slow and unachievable. The journey keeps on going pretty smoothly. This is the second day, when we are together with the Finnish guy Nil, who travels alone to the Bering sea. We assisted him, when he called the Finnish radio.
At this moment i am sitting at the computer in Indian centre. It is a grey day and a bit windy outside, but it is not raining. Wind so far has been favourable to us, but if it is gonna blow in our faces, our journey will be long. We are a bit scared for our next 140+40 kilometres to Stevens Village and Jukon bridge, where we have decided to wash ourselves and recharge batteries. According to our information we gathered, the stream may be very slow there, meaning we will have to row hard. But everyone is ok so far. Andis got flu yesterday. And also we found one dead bear by Jukon shore – it looks like locals have killed him. We found only head, skin and guts. We saw another black bear long distance from us. He ran away from us, seems like he did not want to be in the movie. But he bear was sooooooo big!
