270 kilometers made. We are not really happy to leave the hotel in the morning: human is getting used to comfort too easily.
It’s raining again and we are pressed to put the “condoms” on before we head off to the border. As fast we are getting processed at the Kazakh side, as long we are prolongued at the Russian one. In four hours we are back in Russia, this time the Altay side. The road quality immediately decreases, and the twilight falls very quickly. Around 9 PM we stay for the night at a village named Rodino in another kennel proudly named “hotel”. Too much contrast in comparison with the day before, but this is also one of the best things about traveling: you never know as to what to expect. There is a notice over the stinky sink: “Dear customers! Please don’t throw dog-ends and tea-dregs into the sink! Please use the garbage can!” Else we have sky blue window frames and sheets with elephant print here. Good night!
