25 kilometers made by feet. The only dry clothing we have when we wake up is our socks, only because we hid these in our sleeping bags before going to sleep.

The rest is completely wet. Hence, there is no option to go anywhere but back to the camp. We put our raincoats on naked bodies, put on entirely wet boots and head off for the last link of this mountain trip. The pass is as slippery as teh bobsleigh racetrack. We are falling constantly, yet since there are no more rocks on our way, the worst thing that can happen is some swearword. The sun is showing up every once in a while. Whilst sliding down, we are playing the game by naming the things we would want the most right now. Janis dreams about a bottle of Burgundy with cheese and dried meat. I am not changing the bottle of Užavas beer for any treasures of the world. For the last five kilometers I refuse even the water in hopes to get a sip of beer. Around 3PM we finally are back in the tourist center and our beer dreams come true.
