We are the only white in the streets of the city. Nobody here speaks English, even if they say “litlbit” – a little bit, it means nothing.

We use trishaws to move around the city and find a nice market where one can buy fine local eels and big green frogs. What we decide to do is to find some sort of tourist agency to figure out where to go and what to see. There are many interesting places within 100-200 kilometres around; however, the only option to get there is by tourist bus or an airplane. In the afternoon Ulaanbaatar calls: changes again! Bangkok refuses to deliver the bikes to Laos since they need some security certificate to do that, but we don’t care anymore. All we wanna do is to just get to ride, so we decide to fly from Kunming straight to Bangkok and then drive back to Laos, so we keep along our planned route. The good thing is that we will save spare $1, 000. Tomorrow at 1AM we go to Kunming by train.
