ZAVOLZHYE – KAZAN

Our boots need some ventilation, and Janis is trying to correct it by punching holes in them. Today seems to be the militia day: we are getting stopped three times. First time it is just the curiosity for our equipment, next time it is speed limit exceed. However, we already know the right currency: our expedition stickers. The third time is the least pleasant: we are being told to stick our labels in some other place, and the entire idea of this expedition seems useless and silly to a militioner. Well, 300 roubles are doing it. We are getting to the motel with the darkness and meet 4×4 bikers on their way for a competition in the Ural Mountains here. The evening is spent in professional talk. We really would like to inform our supporters about the recent events of the trip; however, there is never internet connection.
