370 kilometers made. We’ve decided to stay together until Saishand where the filming crew is returning to Ulaanbaatar and we are moving ahead, to China. Yesterday, after technical bikes check we’ve discovered another problem
Touratech aluminium boxes got praised too soon, and now we have found tiny cracks in them next to the brackets. The problem is also quite urgent. At midday we reach Dalandzadgad, the biggest town in South Mongolia. Well, it ain’t much different from the rest though. The road is a little bit better here that it was before, so we can keep 50 km/h up almost all of the time. The mountains step back and stony desert comes instead. Few times we get lost with even GPS but, anyway, there is no chance to cross Mongolia with no navigation at all. At 8PM we already pitch our “yurts” in the fields of Eastern Gobi.
