340 kilometers made. Although there are only 200 kilometers left to the harbor, we get there only in five hours. Ferries are working fine: duly and quite cheap.

A ticket for a bike plus owner costs only 7, 000 Ringgits (approximately $8). We are truly happy to leave Sumatra since it wasn’t the place to get satisfaction from riding the bike. We’ll be at Java Island in three hours and we know that it’s not going to be better there if not worse. Here, like in Thailand, it’s prohibited for the bikes to use the main city roads and trunk roads, so we have to choose smaller ones. We’ve got 140 kilometers to go, but it takes us almost six hours. All of the emotions from these endless traffic jams, heat and smog are indescribable; however, we didn’t have chance to skip Jakarta because the clutch of Janis bike needs urgent service, plus DHL package is waiting for us there. Thoughts in my head are really unkind towards the officials of roads department; I even compose a sarcastic joke about it.

Three road department officials from China, Thailand and Indonesia are caught by „Hells Angels” bikers. Cruel penalty is awaiting them for their former works, so before it they are allowed to make two wishes each. The Chinese minister urgently cancels all the restrictions considering foreigners and their motorcycles, changes his wife’s name for Red Star, his son’s name for Ural and his daughter’s for Panony. His Thai colleague of course cancels all the limitations for motorcycle traffic on trunk roads and signs an agreement to always arrive to all the official meetings by tuk-tuk. Indonesian officer wishes for the same cancellation his Thai colleague has made and orders a tattoo citing the full text of Kyoto agreement all across his chest.
