On the 18th of September, with harsh North headwind and rain at Imonak, the expedition of Jukon finished journey at 13.00 at local time. In forty one day they traveled 1800 km and now just 15km have left till the sea. Depending from weather forecast we will decide if it will be possible to continue.
Autumn, more precisely the end of September here is the storm season. We will not try to find out what storm can do to our canoe on the river. Yesterday we had enough with headwind speed 10 miles per hour (aprox 15-17m/s) and canoes speed decreased from 8-10 km/h to 3-5km/h and at the same time it made team work harder. We who paddled at the front of canoes were exhausted. Luckily river demonstrated its power to us when only 35 km to our destination was left. Today we overcame them. Thank you for support!
