50 kilometers made. Already yesterday, thinking about the situation around the famous temple, I assumed its surroundings must look like a central market on Sunday or Vatican in the middle of the day.

That’s why we got up at 5AM to drive there while it’s not full. However, we are not the only smart ones: when we get there, it’s already is all alive with tourists and ticket vendors. The ticket is $40 for the entire day for one person, but the police is not up to let us in with the bikes. I show them our recommendation letter from a Latvian institution and tell tales about filming for Hollywood. It works! We get on the top of the mountain where it’s finally empty to overview a temple and its surroundings and to wait for the sunrise which turns out not the most impressive because of the mist. However, it’s still nice. After the breakfast in the hotel we return to the temple and my worst expectations come true: it swarms with tourists. Well, if one doesn’t want to spoil his mood, one should come here either early in the morning or at the late evening.
