There is quite a lot of things to do, so we divide the charges and part. Janis, accompanied by our new local friend Tom who speaks English and has the best tuk-tuk in the entire town, goes for the service to repair our aluminum bikeboxes.
Myself, I decide to visit embassies of Cambodia and Thailand to apply for visas because we should be leaving tomorrow. The town hasn’t changed much since I’ve last been here four years ago. Maybe, merely the number of cars has risen, and new avenue has been built. The Lao are getting ready to celebrate the end of the rainy season and the night of full moon. So, tomorrow in every place with water available the junk competition will take place. Junk is sort of local long and narrow boat. We decide to join the celebration at the village Vang Vieng on our way to Luangprabang.
