780 kilometers made. Yes, exactly! There is no mistake; we really made 780 kilometers today!

Besides, these were probably the best kilometers made by asphalt during the entire trip. Four years ago, while driving through these places by a local bus, there was a totally different picture around – a real offroad. That’s why we saved two days for this road slice. However, everything has changed: the covering is amazing and there is no need to discover america anymore. There is a weight control for the trucks every hundred kilometers and, unlike it is in Latvia, it even works! Traffic is very easy here, the police is around but they don’t use radars. Even the dogs that wander on the road seem to be saner that everywhere else: everytime they cross the road, they stop and look around. Bright ultra green rice meadows don’t let our brain to turn off, so we’re not bored, and riding there is fantastic. We’ve left the capital city at 8AM and with all getting lost on the way, by 6PM we already are at Pakse. Four days ago there was a hurricane going through these places, however, nothing seems to be destroyed, only river water has risen and the meadows are flooded.
